i is for invierno

As we rapidly approach invierno (winter), I am very excited about the cold weather, the possibilty of snow and all of the slushy wellie-wearing messes that go with it.  I'm also a little sad to see otono (autumn) go.  I'll miss images like these passing me as I make my frostbitten run around the lake.

But I'll be glad to get these back out!

Welcome in invierno!

Invierno....is that Italian? I think I just learned a new word! Two if you count "otono" :)

I love autumn too and I'm going to miss seeing it go. Of course, this year, I'm pretty sure we skipped autumn and went directly to winter because it is so flipping cold right now. The trees are all confused and are having a little trouble turning into their beautiful colors.

I have a feeling we might get snow this year because of the cold. I just hope that E will be awake this time when it happens :)

I wish I could embrace your love of winter. I'm going to try really hard this year to focus on the beauty of the season and not the hassles of trying to keep warm and travel safely.

Great post! La

Beautiful photos, Paige! You can have my winter too, because I don't want it :-)

So jealous that you have a pair of Hunter Rain boots :) I went to the mall yesterday and saw them in all colors and I knew I had to get myself a pair! I, for one, am not looking forward to "invierno". It can take its time getting here, if you ask me!

Beautiful autumn photos! I agree that winter soon comes with its white white snow and cold cold temperatures at least here in Michigan. I don't really mind but it always takes a bit of getting used to. Then we go slip-sliding away!
Happy I day!

Beautiful photographs! I know what you mean about being excited to see the new season, but feeling like you will miss the old season. And Fall has such stunning color, too! Of course, the first sparkling snowfall will have you mesmerized!

Gorgeous.

Funny enough I have been looking for a beautiful leaf image to make a stencil from. (It is time for homemade decorations.) I think I am going to use your leaf as inspiration.

We can't seem to decide what season we are in here in South Carolina.

Love your leaf shots!

I'm ok with winter ... every season has it's plusses and minuses. I like snow, but I hate shoveling snow.

That's why I love living in South Carolina. It's not really winter-like until Feb and it only lasts about 6 weeks. Of course after last year, who knows what will happen.

Wonderful photos! I have lived in Arizona for almost 13 years, and get cold when the temp is in the fifties! I feel like such a weenie!

I like the cold, clear, frosty days, but I hate the damp, grey, rainy ones.

Okay, so if my route was a beautiful as yours I think I would run outside everyday. What a beautiful place!
I will miss Fall too. But with winter comes Holidays and tubing and snow and snowdays...off of school. I feel like a kid again every time it snows!

What language are you speaking? Latin?

And your photos are so vibrant that they almost hurt my eyes. Lovely.

Personally, I love and, in fact, prefer invierno. I also love the boots!

Yes. This was an intriguing post.

Yes. The pictures were great.

However...

I was totally hoping to come here today to see "I did THIS with my hair!"

But even though you didn't show us what happened, I still loved visiting you today on my little journey through Alphabe-Thursday!

Thanks for linking.
