The Bear: [alarmed and kind of loud] "That chicken just crossed the road!"
Me: [contemplatively] "I wonder why."
Thank you. I'm here all week.

The best thing about this post is that it conveniently fits into both the Writer's Workshop and Alphabe-Thursdays. I love them both and having them live harmoniously on my blog makes me happy.
PS: Did you know that a group of chickens is also called a peep? How CUTE is that? So cute. Stop looking at me like that.

I learned something new today! A peep is a group of chickens ... I'm so using this over the weekend!
You and Bear are just too cute :)
Peeps, eh? I wonder if that's the reason why they call those marshmallow chicks that they sell during Easter "peeps"

I would have loved to have seen the expression on his face when you said that!
That is too funny. I didn't know that a group of chicks was called a peep. I also never understood why the Easter marshmallow treats were called peeps. You have solved that mystery for me now. Thanks!
There are so many ways to answer that question. I love "to get his other side". Fun post.
Not to put an age range on your sense of humor but the other day we were driving down the road and a mother and two baby deer passed in front of our car and Z (6 years old, remember) got really excited and shouted "why did the deer cross the road?!?" Yeah, that's right ... you're six. ;)
heehee
Nice multi-tasking, by the way. Killing two chickens with one stone, so to speak.
